This is the third one-person show of Mr. Paquette's work at the Object Image Mr. Paquette’s drawings are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago and the Arkansas Art Center and were featured in an article in American Artist Magazine. His precise and closely observed black and white drawings employ a variety of materials including graphite, charcoal and conte crayon. This show also features Mr. Paquette’s etchings. Always a skilled printmaker Mr. Paquette has in the past three years returned to the art of etching with a renewed vigor.

According to gallery director Bob Weiss, “ Mr. Paquette’s etchings, although closely related to and with the same sensibility as his drawings, are strong images that stand by themselves and employ the use of hard ground etching and aquatint reinforced by engraving to its full potential.” His editions (usually limited to thirty) are printed by himself and show the care and control evident in all his work.
