The Object Image Gallery presents a one-person exhibition of the work of Andy Hoogenboom. British born, Mr. Hoogenboom's art is closely involved with music. A musician since fourteen and in the late 50's and early 60's he played acoustic bass with several bands, including Blues Incorporated led by Alexis Korner. It was while playing in that group with a drummer named Charlie Watts that Hoogenboom met and played with the musicians who were soon to form the Rolling Stones. Years later, when the Stones were recording the Bridges From Babylon album Mr. Hoogenboom made a series of art works based on the sketches of his old friends. He has also had the opportunity to make drawings at rehearsals at the American Symphony and of jazz icon Fred Katz.

Originally known as a sculptor of large abstract forms Mr. Hoogenboom has since 1996 been fascinated with printmaking. He is the Vice President of the New York Society of Etchers. His work is in the collection of the Metropolitan of Art, Bibliotheque Nationale Paris, Museum of the City of New York and the Transport Museum NYC
